What Customers Say About Canon EP-EX15 Eyepiece Extender for EOS Cameras:

I don't recommend it to anyone. I assumed that this eyecup extension would magnify the view as most extensions do. It actually makes your view smaller. Pointless product. It's only purpose is to keep you from pressing your face against the camera when looking through the view finder.

This extender will not fit the Canon T1i as it is advertised to. Very disappointing as I have found no option.

First of all the description of the product should be "for SOME EOS cameras." I have the EOS Rebel XSi and this extender does NOT fit. It is easily 1/4" wider than the stock eyepiece ON BOTH SIDES so unless you have a lot of perfectly flat space around the eyepiece this item is not going to work on your camera either. If you can get in on your camera, you better buy a bigger telephoto lens because now the view through the finder is so smalll you can hardly see enough to compose a good shot. I guess this is an advantage if you have a hard time filling the frame because now you are going to have to get extra close just to see what you're shooting.Bottom line, save your money keep the stock eyepiece and buy a microfiber cloth instead so you can wipe your nose print off the display.

For that I would recommend it. Some don't like the loss of view. I read good and bad reviews about the eyepiece extender. If you are concerned about the smaller vf image you might want to pass on this. I myself forgot I had it on the next time I used the camera (T1i). It does keep my nose off the LCD panel and that is what it was intended to do. I figured for the price I had little to lose. It works for me.

I did read somewhere it is possible to manually remove the less magnification from the extender, but I'm fine with it for now.Overall I am happy with the purchase. It's not as bad as some people are making it out to be.

Super snug, perfect snap. The II version may fit as well, but I'm just confirming this one definitely does.

To clarify since I searched the web all over and found no clear answer, this eyepiece is the perfect fit for the 50D. Yeah, it's a little smaller, but nothing major.

It extends the eyepiece a slight amount, and it's just enough to keep your nose and face off the screen. In my opinion, it also looks better on the camera.I am rating 4/5 based on the slightly smaller viewfinder image.

If you have good eyesight you'll be fine. 4/5
